Thousand Oaks is a gated, residential community located on FM 1488 in Montgomery County, Northwest of Houston, Texas. The neighborhood has grown to over 300 property owners spread over a 700-acre master-planned community since 1999. It is a pedestrian-friendly community that is diverse and vibrant.
The neighborhood is conveniently located just five minutes east of the town of Magnolia and 15 minutes west of the Woodlands Mall. We are only a short driving distance from all the amenities that
Houston
has to offer, but we still maintain the quiet neighborhood setting that makes it such a desirable location. Thousand Oaks is in the Magnolia Independent School District.
Social Events
We have many active social activities including: Neighborhood Potluck, Pre-School Playgroups, Patriotic Parade, Pizza and Pool Nights and an annual Garage Sale.
Neighborhood Watch
Started locally in 2007, our Neighborhood Watch program encourages our neighbors to get to know each other, taking the time to care about each other and work together in a program of mutual assistance.
It involves our residents being trained to recognize and report suspicious activities in the neighborhood, reporting incidents to the Police Dept. for enforcement activities, and to Neighborhood Watch for communication of these incidents to our residents.
Thousand Oaks Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program which enlists the active participation of its residents in cooperation with Montgomery County law enforcement to reduce crime in our community.
